Aimee’s grandmother encouraged her to become a teacher and she’s been in the early learning field for ten years. Aimee noticed there were not enough teachers for children with special needs such as Autism, especially in early intervention classrooms. Her goal is that all children are supported. A recent success for Aimee came when a new set of twins joined her class. At first, the twins would scream when saying goodbye to their parents or when things didn’t go their way. Now they are interacting with their peers in positive ways because they have learned to use their words. Great work Aimee!
